You do not need to make a payment when booking. We will ask for payment only once you are happy with the personal course we have arranged for you.

We will then arrange a free 30-minute video meeting with you and your assigned teacher

  • to test the video solution
  • to go through and agree your personal course
  • to schedule lessons

We will confirm your personal course and send you an invoice with payment details. A payment will need to be made ahead of first lesson.

The Tech

We have chosen to use Zoom as we feel it provides an excellent interface for language learning and interaction and is easy to use. If you haven’t used Zoom before, we look forward to demonstrating this in our initial free sessions with your teacher before your course begins.

You will need a suitable computer, large tablet or smartphone with a broadband connection of 10 mbps or more. We feel using laptops or computers and a camera that is centred to the screen offer the best experience.

Your teacher will use a headphone with attached microphone for best audio quality – we suggest you do the same although some more recent devices have adequate speakers and microphone built-in. Also, we advise location in a place where you won’t be disturbed or disturb others.

We will send you a joining link for you initial free session to test the technology. You will then get a link to all your following lessons.

    Lessons are booked for convenient times during normal working hours for teachers living in England. We may be able to arrange lesson times that are evening or early morning times in England and will charge extra for these special arrangements.
